Mandatory Sentencing
End Mandatory Minimum’s. Each case is unique. Allow judicial leeway.
Shorten Sentences
Rehabilitation cannot be a lifetime. Focus on education, training & reinstatement to society.
Reduce Incarceration
End jail sentences for nonviolent offenses.
Private Prisons
Close private prisons. No one must profit from the incarcerated
War on Drugs
End this failed policy that destroyed the lives of
millions & cost billions
Medical Treatment for Addiction
Addiction is a medical condition
The system has to change. It is rooted in a system of oppression and until that is no longer the case and rehabilitation actually is, it will never be a just system.
